Capitalists never believe in any soul, hence, nothing to save :-) But their simple and grounded interests require making up such ideas, spreading such ideas, paying to make and spread such ideas.

All this shit has one of main properties of idealism - it states that something unnatural and mystic exist above and beyond reality , something that we can not measure with our tools and understand using scientific methods. It is just version that was made up due to progress of science and education, just different version of god. But intentions behind it are exactly the same.

If it did, then we would have heard j p morgon or the rockefellers use it as a pretext...but we didn't. Musk is only interested in the concept, but he didn't imagine it. And just because a concept is outside the current paradigm of scientific thought, doesn't mean it's religious garbage and isn't worth considering. If this were true, our knowledge of the world would have never advanced beyond plato and aristotle. Using that reference, the atom would have been simply too esoteric to consider.

Capitalists mostly never speak themselves, but idealism with such new variations had been always foundation in capitalism (and all prior exploitation isms). Sometimes they do speak as in the post above. For people who understand their real intentions and that they mean it looks very stupid, and they know it inside. But religious guys did and do it still for centuries, for a purpose.

This discussions as resolving anything have no consequences at all and become a tedious waste of valuable time. No matter how much you rant about it it will make no difference in the order of things. They are simple personal opinions.

Discussions are not waste of time, as otherwise people still had been jumping on a trees. And main goal is to share knowledge. Rise opinion into knowledge. And it is exactly part of idealism to state that everything is just different opinions.
