Capitalism: End game
  • Some idiots think that all issue lie in the fact that elites became so rich.
So good solution is to add some social justice and just give this money to people at lower levels.

Other idiots think what people at lower levels have too much now already and we need some more efficient system that will make them work better. So elites can become even more reach :-)

Well, sad to upset both of them.
Any attempt of elites to consume according to big part of their newly added wealth will lead to collapse due resource and energy restrictions.
Same thing will happen if you try to transfer all this money to poor (it'll be even worse, in fact).
So, all proposals no longer work.
We are no longer in the exponential rising state.
And we are not even at the more or less constant supplies state.
We just passed the top and now will go down.

    It'll be great fun.
Most probably greatest fun since dinosaurs.
    Sorry, I spoiled the outcome.

  • Thought experiment: Great Spagettimonster puts Vitaliy in charge of the planet. What steps, requiring least amount of upheaval, would you take to alleviate oncoming trainwreck?

You want me to become idealist :-)

No such things as absolute dictators or absolute rulers ever existed.
And note - any path leading to least amount of upheaval is worst one.
At first you need socialist revolution.
Next you need proper organization, improving of products state and in science.
This, may be, will allow controllable life level decrease.

  • So socialism and lowering standards of living. Why not just manage population numbers and then no lessening of living standard?

    What does this mean below?

improving of products state and in science

btw, in the USA we used to equate socialism with satanism. Not so much any more.

Socialism is necessary to have much better standards than possible in capitalism with same resources.

You need better socialization than possible by capitalism to overcome coming issues.

Socialists though that socialism is better in resource usage. And it is true. But at this stage it is not so important how efficient you are, but how much resources you can control.
If you are 30% less efficient, but like US you control and consume 5-10x times more resources it does not matter much.

In USA around 99% of population does not even know that socialism is exactly.

Higher even. People think Bernie Sanders is a socialist, it's commonly and routinely reported in our media that he's socialist when he's in no sense whatsoever socialist. You don't need to read Marx or complete a doctorate to have a basic understanding, just open a damn dictionary. And yet...

Larger point is still important though, that socialism is no longer a dirty word. Who cares if people understand it, at least it's now possible to mention it in conversation without people bringing out pitchforks and torches.

Btw in 19th century this word had been used very freely. But later it had been used wrong intentionally, of course.

I call such guys same as Bernie Sanders - utopian capitalists. They always tell you how capitalism can be improved, just never with any methods that actually work.

Next step will be as pitchforks and torches will be used with mention of capitalism :-)

  • An older one, but still a good one to illustrate the ongoing capitalist crisis:

  • money is nothing until it moves

  • The Rockefeller's are getting out the oil business. It doesn't say what they are getting into. http://www.rffund.org/divestment
