I searched around but did not find an answer for this. Has anyone tried this?
Basically, take apart the LCD on the GH1 and use the cabling or wiring to attach it to an external monitor.
I don't need HD output, I just want it for framing purposes when the GH1 is placed on a small crane.
Or has anyone physically taken apart the LCD? Is there a tear down of the GH1 somewhere? (I googled but did not find it) If so, were you able to put it back together? Was the wiring plug and play or was the wiring soldered in?
Is there some other way to do external monitoring while recording if the camera is a small distance away, like on a crane? I have read ideas about using a small cheap camera and film the lcd.
Thank you.

P.S. I was not sure if this was the right Category. Feel free to move if necessary.
Thanks for all the work you do and your response. That would work for my purpose.
Do you know how it is attached? Is it soldered together or is there some sort of plug-able connection?
I am not very mechanically inclined. I know a little bit, but before I take apart the screen, I want to know as much as possible first before committing to it.
