This is in Manual video mode on the camera (icon with video camera and M) Set to either HBR or Cinema 24P. The lines happen in either.
Any thoughts why this is occurring? It happens at various location in the video.
looks like the lighting is strobing. Do you have fluorescent lights in that room?
nope, just incandescents. Don't think it's lighting, if it was wouldn't it be consistent and not come and go?
Must be shutter speed related...?
again, if it was SS related wouldn't it be consistent throughout? Shutter should be what 50 for video?
That's a new one
Any chance the light fixture has compact florescent light bulbs and not actual incandescent bulbs? Or even a mix of the two?
@edwardm That's what I was thinking but he said he checked.
Hard to tell. From the limited video, it seemed to happen whenever the camera was not level (tilted up or down). Is that true? Any other behavior characteristics you can determine other than HBR/24p? This doesn't happen in 720p?
What lens? Is it stabilized? Stabilization on/off? Stabilization mode? What if you rotate the camera 90d (portrait)? Can you take a photo during filming? Does it show in the photo?
