Right now it is NEX lens only, but may be will be available also for m43.
Factory claims that they are original producer for SLR Magic.

...is this an AF lens?
No...manual focus.
@B3Guy Voigtländer = creamy bokeh, this lens = nervous breakdown bokeh :)

The bokeh reminds me of some old German lens - the Isco Gottingen that I used to own, crumpled paper look. It's not nervous breakdown, it has its charm.
My concern is why does the image look so washed out? Is it CCTV glass? How much is the lens by the way? If it costs below $350, well, i would buy it

Found some more pictures on the web. Lots of purple fringing, and like I suspected, it's not an easy piece of glass to use.
I sold my Nokton .95 because I couldn't master it on corporate shoots, where time and resource are of the essence. Admittedly, this Chinese glass comes nowhere near the Voigtlander.

Lens itself is available now already for around $800 (plus shipping)

Then lens looks alright. 800 is still a lot of money, pay 300 more and you get the voigtländer. If you can pay 800 on a lens you can pay 1100, too and get the real deal.
If you can pay 800 on a lens you can pay 1100, too and get the real deal.
LOL.
if you pay $300, you can certainly pay $1300 :-)
Just curious... has anyone used this lens?
Adorable 35s - Big 35mm Speed Lens Comparison (Leica, SLR Magic, Mitakon, Canon + Speed Booster, Samyang)
@jleo thanks for sharing the link. We cannot find the source where this Factory made a claim they are the original producer for the SLR Magic lens. The optical design is very different between the Mitakon 35mm f/0.95 and SLR Magic HyperPrime 35mm T0.95. The link shows a comparison for many fast 35mm lens options and shows each lens has its own characteristic and not an OEM of another lens. This had been a discussed rumour and we did have a few visitors at our shop in Hong Kong comparing the Mitakon 35mm f/0.95 lens to the SLR Magic HyperPrime 35mm T0.95 demo lens in Hong Kong.
Has anybody used this lens on a full frame A7 series camera? Apparently it almost covers it, and could be fine for the A7s when in 4K mode.
Improved version
Zhongyi Optics (ZY Optics) has released an improved version of their first f/0.95 lens, Zhongyi Mitakon Speedmaster 35mm f/0.95 Mark II. The mark II verison features a drastic improvement of sharpness, better control of chromatic abberations and much compact size. The new version comes with a Fuji X / Sony E / EOS-M mount and is able to cover the image circle of APS-C sized sensors.
Zhongyi Mitakon Speedmaster 35mm f/0.95 Mark II is a ultra-fast prime lens which provides a 35mm-equivalent focal length of around 53mm in APS-C cameras. A maximum aperture of f/0.95 makes it extremely convenient to shoot at a low light conditions without flash. The new optical design incorporates a 11 elements in 8 groups structure, including 1pc of Extra- low disperson elements, 2 pcs of Extra-high Refractive Index elements and 3pcs of High Refractive Index elements. This structure effectively improved the image resolution by 30% compared to the previous version from corners to corners. This also controls the chromatic abberations very well and deliver excellent image sharpness even at f/0.95.
The new Speedmaster 35mm f/0.95 is light and compact. The total weight is reduced from 680g to 460g, making it an ideal companion for the compact mirrorless cameras. Manual focus design and a click-less, silent aperture ring promote smooth handling and are especially well-suited to video applications. The lens is built in metallic enclosure with additional protective process and finest finishing, which gives extra durability and aesthetic.
