will h265 make vimeo go 1080?

h265 will half the file size compared to h264. will this enable 1080p as default vimeo resolution for everybody?

It may, it may not. Server hosting is also getting cheaper, so they might offer this feature even before H.265 is released - however they might also offer it later.

The broadband speed increment globaly and H.265 wich cut in half the size may be able to stream even 4k at 2k bandwith. So is very very probable they may have true 1080p.

it has to do with prossesing power on servers.
