This looks really good, purpose designed for the GH2. I wish I had seen it sooner

If you find other images of the GH2 specific plate, it has an anti-twist lip at the leading edge .. and batteriy door opens
cool
Comes also with amazing price tag.
yes it is, it's screaming out, buy me! buy me!
I emailed them and they tell me that all of their baseplates position cameras optical centre at ARRI standard spacing, 85mm above rod centres.
I don't think I am going to be able to resist that anti twist lip
I just love anything that will allow me to open the damn battery door without having to remove the plate or at least loosen it.
This little number made life all the easier for me!

I made a pretty much identical CAD design about a year ago butnever followed trough and actually CNC machined a plate....
Does it have an anti-twist lip on the camera plate to make it a two-point connection on the GH2? Still pretty pricey.
@JohnTollwannabe - I use a cage, so that wouldn't work for me. I was merely pointing mine out because @shian had mentioned the battery removal issues. It's still $70 USD less than the idc version. I would rather have a plate that worked for more than one camera. That's my POV. I'm shooting F3 next week and I could use my baseplate on it, if I chose to do so...
@JohnTollwannabe, It does have anti-twist lip, that's it's main attraction to me .. 'Bah! at panasonic for not having a locator pin'.
@roadoxpix, I tend to take the line where each camera has it's own baseplate .. and I am making sure that everything conforms height wise to standards .. the plan being I can just slide baseplate and cameras on and off the rail system.
@all, I agree it's expensive .. it's still calling out to me.
While very interesting and intriguing to me too, I'd assume that piece has about a 1,000% mark up.
