I knew a nokton had to be in there, those were some really shallow shots in there. The color and audio were superb, the gentlemen was a natural and consise speaker and as he said he sees from what he hears. Excellent!
I watched this again and again. Every framing carries meaning.
At the beginning the blind man was taken by high angle shots to capture his vulnerability in contrast with non-blind people taken by low angle shots The shallow DOF on him sitting in the bar shows isolation. As his story unfolds, his eye level angle shots. Uncomfortable angles as he recalls a bad memory. Toward the end, the low angle shots to boost his confidence. As he sings, similar DOF on him and the crowd depicts harmony.
Prolly that's only tip of the iceberg from this beautiful cinematic work.
