GH2 on sale before NAB

I just saw that B&H has the GH2 with lens on sale, $150 off, until April 14 '12 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/736365-REG/Panasonic_DMC_GH2KK_Lumix_DMC_GH2_Digital_Camera.html

April 14 is when NAB begins. Do they know something we don't? Has anyone heard any rumors about NAB announcements relating to the GH2?

It's probably a coincidence but it would be great if they were doing it because they suspected the GH3 was right around the corner. There's a rumor of a Panasonic announcement on April 5th.

yeah B&H drops prices like that all the time, I bought my body and kit lens for that months ago on a sale.. however perfect timing just got approved to buy and hack 2 GH2's at work.. saved enough to buy a GF2 or GF3 as a C cam :)

I´m seriously tempted to wait after NAB, worst case no new announcements, price get to 849 again, best case GH3 comes out, GH2 prices drop like a waterfall.

Let's imagine fantastic situation and assume that Panasonic will announce GH3 at NAB.
After this look at GH1 and GH2 shipping history.
At best you can expect to get GH3 at late November :-)

So best case GH3 hack in 6 months... By then GH2 will make coffee!

And the GH3 might be hack proof in which case GH2 prices will hold or possibly rise. You never know,Panny might reorient GH3 towards stills and diminish the video feature set.

Well, Panasonic is making some announcements tomorrow (around midnight tonight for me). The rumor is a new m4/3 camcorder. Maybe an AF200 with a GH2 sensor? I hope they announce the GH3.

Still $749 on Amazon for the 14-42mm kit , picked up one of these and a 14-140mm kit for work this week, 2 GH2 and one with the 14-140 for under 2k.. nice :) Had 2 k budgeted for the two GH2, becuse of the sale prices got one with the better lens.

Ebacherville , coming from ENG background you gunna love the 14-140, probably Panny's most versatile lens. It's what I use 90% of the time outdoors for event shooting.
