Yep. More detailed description from expirienced guy like you could definitely be very useful.
My understanding is that larger drones, with GPS and with complete sensors packages are much more easy to fly. As controller could make most fo the work.

If you guys are totally beginner with these toys remember that it's a long way before you'll be able to safely shoot aerial footage, and there are lot more expenses to complete the very minimal kit, it's not just the copter...
It's weight about 1.2kg but when I add GH2 (650g), 4S 6000mAh battery (600g), camera mount (500g), video transmiter and some other small electronics this Okto weight more than 3kg. With all this payload it can fly max 10min.
Add at least few hundreds more over this for all parts needed and most you will be able to attach at this multicopter is Gopro. Trust me, I know what I'm saying (and doing) :) http://www.helivideo.rs
