R50V offers everything for video/cinema production for only 649 usd: good dynamic range, good autofocus, good resolution, less overheat, 4k without crop, 4k60p, 10bit, mic input, headphones output, and lots of other features.
It seems R50V will force other manufacturers to release cheaper models with premiium features.
When premium features start to become cheap maybe it can mean a new sensor technology is coming for better dynamic range...
It has a 1.56x crop in 4K 60fps vs only 1.1x (oversampled from 5.6K) for the Sony E10 II. The Sony can also shoot in XAVC S-I Intraframe internally at 600 Mb/s. The E10 II is also slightly smaller than the R50 V. Still, the Canon R50V will supposedly be able to shoot for longer duration. The Canon is a great value but the video specs are lacking.
