Solemn Oath Of A Young Soviet Pioneer
  • I, joining the ranks of the Vladimir Ilyich Lenin All-Union Pioneer Organization, in the presence of my comrades solemnly promise: to passionately love and cherish my Motherland, to live as the great Lenin bade us to, as the Communist Party teaches us to, as require the laws of the Pioneers of the Soviet Union.

  • The GDR had a similar (if a bit nicer) one that included lines like (off the top of my head): Promise to be friends with children all over the world and specially the USSSR. I loved the naiveté and positivity of the whole GDR pioneers' ethos.

  • I've been a pioneer myself. I can't say that i have bad memories of it but neither nice ones.

All depends on people around and real things you did.

It had been places and real communists around where pioneers had been active and made real things, like real help to old lonely guys and much more.

  • It depended from place to place and the people ho organised the things. Mostly were cultural like visiting memorial houses historic sites going to theatre or cinema but also visiting factories to see how things are made and working on kolkhoz ( it was named difrent but the same thing). All in all quite good things. The down side each and every day song the hymns to our great and beloved country (sound familiar ? )and his ruler the genius borne about every 500 years (for every smart one this was beyond to much although they were smat enough to integrate into the system)... See it's neither good or bad. Putting into balance I'd say capitalism it's much more on the down side ( although it offered me a world of possibilities and again it's not good or bad) it's just evolution... If the world didn't evolve to the times we are live in it would of stand still wich would of been much more worse... The few remaining after this era of turmoil would probably return to the very basics of life...

For most people it is good time to realize that socialism needs all people and all their potential and thoughts. "Smart Stalin" thing work only for uneducated peasant stage, but not further. Same is true for bureaucratic structure, it can't evolve naturally, it needs new ideas and new approaches.

Capitalism can't improve and can't cope with any real problems anymore, as animal rules reached the limits. You can't make complex thing in society where everyone feels in danger and see enemy in each one around (even if it is stated otherwise).

  • Well said Vitalij, but... what are these new ideas and approaches? I can ear only people talking about the dystopian future awaiting for us and nobody envisioning the potential offered by cracks shown by this system, ever seen before. That's the real sadness I feel in this dark time, we killed ideologies, maybe rightly, and we came up with no clous of what should be a different and hopefully better world from what we have now.

It is because you do not see huge filter that ruling class use.

They silence everything, until they can.

Btw, big part of this filter are lot of people who make lot of noise (pinky or pseudo communists) but keep it fully non actual and not dangerous.

  • Mmmmh! Still a deafening silence filled up the room.

  • @Giovassi

May be you are expecting to hear "Sieg Heil" soon? It'll happen if people will keep retreating.
