  • Someone once wrote: we live in the space between one breath and the next. For critical COVID-19 patients, that next breath may never come. For one month, CGTN filmed in the ICU wards of Wuhan Red Cross Hospital, one of the first batch of seven hospitals in the city enlisted as COVID-19 treatment facilities. The fragility of human life is witnessed and recorded.

  • Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is set to declare a state of emergency as soon as Tuesday, Nikkei has learned, as new coronavirus cases in the capital increase at a record pace.

    Shit.

  • Most horrible thing is that best that US and EU goverments can do is not to establish manufacturing and asking local factories and engineers on that they need, instead this guys steal masks and respirators from each other and try to outbid each other. Most fun that they print money out of nothing for this, so inflation is really staggering.

  • Windows 10 KB4541335 brings the build number to 18362.752 for v1903 and 18363.752 for v1909, and improvements included in this patch are the same for both versions.

This optional update fixes an issue that prevented users from muting Your Phone app and another bug that blocked users from closing certain apps. Another bug where DRM content apps such as Netflix is paused in the background when you switch between apps has been resolved.

According to several reports, Windows 10 KB4541335 installs normally for majority of users, but a small group of users are reporting a wide range of issues including system crashes and problems when gaming.

One user in Feedback Hub reported that KB4541335 leads to Blue screen of Death (BSOD).

    Comment to this news:

At least Windows 10 updates are real insland of stability in the virus infected turbulent world.

  • Germany considers mandatory face masks

Wearing masks in public could soon be mandatory in Germany, according to a draft list of measures that officials think should allow life to return to normal.

It is already mandatory in Kiev, Ukraine.

Note that goverment has no intention to providing you masks. Actually most of them banned any masks selling outside their authorised firms and pharmacies.

Officials say the measures should be sufficient to keep the number of people infected by each person below one, as public life is allowed gradually to resume.

It sounds like public crime confession. If wearing masks makes infection contract - why this guys made all this horror previously?

  • Pathogen that causes Covid-19 is gone within three hours from surfaces like printing and tissue paper, but can last for days on banknotes, stainless steel and plastic, researchers from University of Hong Kong say

The report, published in medical journal The Lancet on Thursday, adds to a growing body of research about the stability of Sars-CoV-2

The researchers said that “strikingly” there was still a detectable level of infection on the outer layer of a surgical face mask after seven days. “This is exactly why it is very important if you are wearing a surgical mask you don’t touch the outside of the mask,” Peiris said.

Actually this point is made to prevent simple reuse of masks.

Professional medical community strongly DO NOT want you to wear masks, even if in the form of limiting supply and forcing you to fear perfectly good mask.

“Because you can contaminate your hands and if you touch your eyes you could be transferring the virus to your eyes.”

The researchers also said that the results did “not necessarily reflect the potential to pick up the virus from casual contact”, as the presence of the virus in the study was detected by laboratory tools, not fingers and hands as would be the case in everyday life.

It is again PCR with huge amplification and not tracking if virus is intact.

  • @Vitaliy....Why ? this isn't logical to divide the thread just for China pros and cons. The point is , as you've been posting about EU and USa, the political nature and it's effects and their causes, and how it relates to corona, is definitely part of the subject. If divided, then all countries political ramification of corona posts should be in another thread...pro or cons of everybody, including the USa, Russia, the EU, India etc. If you think the political, cultural and social nature of these other countries relates to what's happening, and I agree, and obviously you agree, then why does China deserve special treatment ? You're not reddit , owned by the chinese, where the information is definitely controlled, right ?? @MikeLinn... if you had something relevant to add, then why'd you delete your post ?

  • There are 4 basic topics. The virus itself, and it's treatment. Effect on treatments by social, political, and cultural causes. The broad political nature of each country and how that affects it's reaction to the pandemic. And the origin of the virus. If you want to divide corona discussion, this is how it should be divided. I don't agree it should be divided however. People come to the thread and get a course on corona and all it's ramifications. Each area not only touches the other but overlaps. That's my 2 cents.

  • @Vitaliy...they have to be more specific about how and what environment the mask is being used. If the masks are being used by nurses in a corona ward , that's one thing, if it's being used by normal people to go the grocery store is another.

  • There's one fundamental flaw in their race to define us by whether we've had corona or not. No one knows how long immunity lasts, or if it's even always effective. I've read some specialist speculate that immunity might only last a year or two at most. If this turns out to be true, what's the real point of their corona ID ? https://www.zerohedge.com/health/immunity-certificates-are-coming-covid-survivors-get-special-passports-enabling-return

  • @kurth

Well, modern world is also one big spectacle.

Making hospital in Central mark (with lot of completely free hotels with thousands of free rooms that are warm and can be isolated) had ZERO usability except scaring people.

  • jennifer zeng 2 hrs ago twitted that hubei restarted lockdown....2nd wave ? .... https://twitter.com/jenniferatntd/status/1247201714677129218

  • UK

Since Sunday evening, the prime minister has been under the care of doctors at St Thomas’ Hospital, in London, after being admitted with persistent symptoms of coronavirus.

Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the prime minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the intensive care unit at the hospital.

  • @kurth

May be China needs to initiate new lockdown due to too fast masks and respirators production rise?

  • @Vitaliy....Boris is in ICU ! It will get all these politicos. They're using temperature as a defense, shaking hands and going without masks. Well, Biden says he'll wear a mask, but he's already braindead.

  • A task force led by the American Thoracic Society in New York has temporarily endorsed using hydroxychloroquine for hospitalized coronavirus patients with “severe pneumonia.”

The group stressed the recommendation only applies to hospitalized patients where the “clinical condition is sufficiently severe to warrant investigational therapy.”

The group further warned its recommendation would not apply in the event of a “shortage of drug supply.”

“Stockpiling these medications — or depleting supplies with excessive, anticipatory orders — can have grave consequences for patients with conditions such as lupus or rheumatoid arthritis if the drugs are not available in the community,”

US become nation of impotents, fully opposite of WWII times

    • Can't make masks, no one to organize also.
    • Can't make ventilators, also no one check that corporations will make
    • Can't make simple drug used for 60 years

WTF? It is lot of amazing people I know, what all this top govements are doing?

    • The Bank of Korea has launched a pilot program for testing digital currency
    • The program would run until December 2021 to check technical and legal requirements
    • Notably, the Bank of Korea said, “it is not necessary to issue CBDC in the near future” because the demand for cash still exists
  • Mordor update

Selling of masks and respirators is prohibited for anyone except few authorised firms and pharmacies since yesterday.

All online P2P platforms here deleted all listings related to them.

This prevents individuals now to get any masks as none of pharmacies in Russia have any masks, even most horrible ones (for around 1.5 months already).
