  • Some partners got info from AMD that top of the line cards will indeed slide in price from $599 to $549, and new info tell that discussion is now even about $499 now. As performance can only match RTX 3070 version with 16GB memory. Same as info above says.

    AMD is not much interested in producing lot of GPUs, as margin Ryzen chiplets is around 3-4x compared to profit on top line GPU. Actually Ryzen 7nm CPUs chiplets profit set absolute records in the industry for wide used products.

    For GPU AMD still can drop around 120-150$ from remaining margin on main GPU and around $40 from their part of GDDR6 margin (so it is around 30-40$ for PCB board, $20-30 cooling, AMD margin is around $200 total in card price).

  • AMD RDNA2 architecture and Radeon RX 6000 Series graphics cards will bring the best of Radeon to gamers worldwide. Learn more October 28.

  • Some more info leaks

    • AMD will target profits for new GPUs, same as they did with Ryzen chips
    • Simpler architecture to make chips small that they used for game consoles
    • Using of cheap and slow GDDR6 instead of GDDR6X used by Nvidia
    • 256 bit memory bus allows allows to save around $2 compared to wider bus
    • GPU will have 128Mb cache
    • AMD will present another variant of fake AI scaling

    Both companies are expected to advise reviewers to push test numbers in 4K mostly in DLSS and similar AMD scaling modes to show new cards advantages.

    AMD does not plan to much new cards much due to new secret cartel agreement with Nvidia, instead they will focus on Ryzen/Threadripper chips with their staggering profits (highest profits any consumer CPU ever had in the industry by far).

  • First relative benchmarks

    • MSI Gaming X Trio 2080 Ti 74,4 FPS (156,63%);
    • EVGA XC Black 2080 Ti stock 64,9 FPS (136,63%);
    • AMD Radeon RX6000 Graphics 63,9 FPS (134,52%);
    • MSI Gaming X Trio 2080 stock 54,4 FPS (114,52%);
    • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 stock 47,5 FPS (100%).
  • Quite bad cooling design (and this will be only one available for long time)
