  • One fund things is that ASUS disclosed that most major X570 boards (besides top models) are 4 layers cheap things.

  • Asrock X570 VRM on Pro4 / Phantom Gaming 4

  • X590 revival signs

At least two models have been confirmed internally to ASUS employees. The PRIME X590-PRO and ROG STRIX X590-E are being mentioned in confidential documents that we have seen.

  • B550 chipset coming soon, first OEM systems will be available in early October.

    • PCIe 4.0 support only for M.2 slot and top PCIe x16 slot, as both go directly to CPU
    • Can be some minor USB improvements like 2xUSB 3.2 Gen2 ports
    • All else same as B360 and B450
    • Even 4x PCIe 3.0 chipset-CPU link, this is horrible
    • Overclocking features will be specially limited!
    • Of course, price hike
    • Made by ASmedia, no coolers on chipset
  • VRM performance

  • AMD and its criminal activities

German publication Planet 3D Now reportedly got its hands on the 1103 beta BIOS, (which contains the 1.0.0.4b AGESA), for the Asus Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) motherboard and mated it with a rather unlikely partner: an AMD Ryzen 3 1200. This combination isn’t supposed to work, but apparently it booted up just fine and they even managed to validate the setup in CPU-Z. The publication noted that they also tried this combination on an older BIOS without success.

Text here is made to undermine the criminal actions of AMD who INTENTIONALLY disabled Rizen 1st gen support without any reason.

In reality 6-8 core overclocked Ryzen 1st gen is only 15-18% slower compared to Zen 2 alternative in most real work tasks (slightly more in games) and around 2-3x times cheaper.

Never assume that capitalist corporation do something at random, they never do this.

  • B550 chipsets situation

AMD ordered ASMedia and MB makers not to release B550 motherboards to keep AM4 boards prices high.

B550 also will be almost 100% copy of old B450 (that is effectively B350), only few new USB controllers and such will be added.

All PCIe 4.0 support will come from CPU and will concern M.2 slot and one PCIe x16 slot (and already had been available in some old BIOS for B450 boards, but AMD asked to remove it).

Situation with AMD chipsets is absolutely horrible, and this includes even latest Threadripper chipset (that is remarked x570).

  • Thanks to huge x570 boards margins and same thing with new HEDT board, AsRock income increased 31% YoY. Second half income jumped 35%, and profits more than doubled at 110%.

    They are ripping you.

  • Soyo cheap B550 board

    image

First boards info can be released on May with boards available in June-July.

It is expected that B550 will be essentially B450 (and it is essentially B350) with minimal changes, just includes PCIe 4.0 on the direct CPU lines (GPU slot and first M.2 slot).

Actually any B450 board can do this, but AMD ordered to shut down parts of BIOS that allowed such.

    Criminals.

This one is quite strange as Zen 2 perfectly works on B350 or X370 boards.
