Why software subscription is just customers ripoff

    For the last quarter Autodesk Inc reported a revenue of $737.3 million, compared with the revenue of $553.8 million during the same period a year ago. For the latest fiscal year the company reported a revenue of $2.6 billion, an increase of 25% from last year. For the last five years Autodesk Inc had an average revenue decline of 0.6% a year.

    And all this extra money went... to buybacks (way to pay less taxes compared to dividends).

    Fight corporations who start to use such scheme, look for alternatives.

    Btw, if we could all S&P companies they spent 806.4 billions on shared buybacks during 2018. Seriously.

    Whole system turned in one big criminal gang.

    Microsoft Corp. on Wednesday announced that its board of directors approved a new share repurchase program authorizing up to $40 billion in share repurchases. The new share repurchase program, which has no expiration date, may be terminated at any time.
