Senior officials debated whether to ask Congress to effectively outlaw end-to-end encryption, which scrambles data so that only its sender and recipient can read it.

    And soon every US citizen could see on their own that US has one of the best censorship systems that is able to ban sites and software fast and efficient.

    Also look for latest UK, Germany and such initiatives considering same things.

    Proper move by people must be from standard browsers and such into custom fast changing protocols with end to end encryption. As such thing make tracking equipment costs skyrocket by around 100x.
