Can anyone who owns a Yi4k help me with settings?
I have one with a broken screen. Apparently the cam doesn't like being dropped 50 metres when a drone randomly looses power. (drone didn't like it much either, but it's 3d printed so just had to print out some new arms).
Good news is camera works fine with smashed screen, but i need to set some settings by uploading a file called system.pref.upload to the sd card.
I'm trying to switch on analog AV out via USB, but I can't work out the settings.
So, if anyone has one of these and could share the settings that would fantastic.
Just need to: - switch on av out in the advanced settings touch screen menu - put a file called system.pref.download on the sd card - reboot. the current settings should be written to the file. - share the settings file - then i change name to system.pref.upload on my cam
This process was a life saver for me when wifi got turned off after a firmware upgrade.
Thanks
Thanks for the link.
I was looking at replacement screens, but could only find ones 10 times the price!
Nice.

I broke the screen and replaced it. Good as new.

i've done tests with this camera and have accumulated the latest hack patches and the ip's to connect wirelessly to your computer. I can also say, don't use flat profile, it doesn't store flat, it just makes it flat not more dynamic range and the 8 bit can't survive that colorwise.
