One year, I believe it was sometime between the GH2 and GH3, Panasonic showed a slide based on market research done by Understandings & Solutions. While details is a bit soft, as I recall market research showed how big percentage of the photo market the compact mirrorless m43 system was likely to get in the next few years. And the percentage was quite big. Alas, this sales figure never manifested itself in the real world.
Each company has such presentations. Top management loves to think that they get their income not for nothing.
