Really nice thing for price (less then $22 shipped!) you could not get before.
CO2 level tracking is good thing for any guy working a lot inside as allows to prevent head pain and overall performance drop.
Thanks for new controllers and integrated detectors.
Thanks! Had been looking for exactly such thing.
Thing inside
Large black thing - PM2.5 particles detector.
Blue - temperature and humidity sensor.
Most interesting is latest MEMs sensor for detecting gases - in red circles.
Just bought a CO2 detector for quite a bit more. It does have a ten year battery, though.
I would be interested in something with a 2.5 particle detector.
PM2.5 thing is at
Do not know that it can be to have 10 year battery.
What is the issue about CO2 levels and editing video?
Issue is that if you sit in closed space CO2 level is rising and productivity drops (it is science, not assumptions). This things help you do proper pauses to vent the place with new fresh air :-)
Formaldehyde is worth keeping on eye on as well. A lot of studios have all kinds of nasty stuff in the air.
New cheap stuff you can buy or get on garage sale can also have nasty things.
I bougth one but cant get it to work.
Mainly the problem is that the "perthings" APP for android will not add the device on the list so that I could control it.
The app does however make the sensor itself to connect to wifi (I can also verify that the sensor gets IP address from my dhcp server).
Anyone here had the same problem or idea how to solve it?
Try other Wi-Fi router (can make your phone to become Wi-Fi spot). I mean - to check if it is it that cause it.
Also try other phone.
I’m very interested in this. Any thoughts on using it without app, so one can just get the data on the PC?
@Vitaliy_Kiselev Thanks for the suggestions but it seems I am out of luck. I tried with two different wifi routers, a phone wifi hotspot and using a tablet and a phone for the app... the best result so far is the sensor getting connected to wifi but the app just ignoring it or saying the pairing was unsuccessfull. Tried to give give all possible rigths for the app but it did not help either.
I did some more digging and it seems that I am not alone with android connecting problems. Apparently IOS app works better.
Would be great if someone found a way to connect with PC (or web browser) like @alcomposer suggested.

Try talk to manufacturer (above), they can have newer version of software.
They also mentioned that they have some kind of web solution for organization or this detectors.
You can also try check audio level (on smartphone) and have smartphone near it during setup (and reset it now also!).
With $1 coupon it is $18.16 shipped now.
New Xiaomi sensor that integrates into Mi Home
Main advantage is also very good pro grade CO2 sensor.
CO2 detector with proper NDIR sensor
Very important to have proper air flow, as CO2 affects your efficiency and how you feel a lot during long edits.
As low as $56-57 shipped with select and general coupons.
It is superb price.
Note that it uses proper meter
Cheap ones that started the topic uses cheap meter that is unable to measure co2 separately and uses math estimation that works not so good and breaks completely as soon as it is any contamination.
