Kind of a strange issue on the A7III in 4K FF 24fps. Since it's just in one mode and frame rate I guess it's just Sony flubbing the firmware a bit.

It'd also be fair to say that in most cases, nobody will ever notice it, as he pointed out at the end of the video - and if you do notice, losing 1% of resolution to stretching isn't so bad.

Actual reason can be to optimize sharpness exactly for 24p by request of clients.

As 1-2% stretching must significantly affect measurements, as it is very bad case mathematically.
