Close look at DR
At APS-C level it is around Samsung NX1
Comparing to Sony A9
Performance is same as old Sony 7R
Nikon D850 VS Nikon D750: Very interesting results!
Best practical and real life testing that I have seen so far.

I am very surprised that when down sampled down to 24MP there is very little difference in noise at high ISO. I thought that the D750 would win hands down. I guess the BSI sensor really makes a big difference.
Nikon D850 DSLR camera teardown update: the 45.7MP CMOS BSI sensor: https://nikonrumors.com/2017/09/09/nikon-d850-dslr-camera-teardown-update-the-45-7mp-cmos-bsi-sensor.aspx/#more-116031
Video quality looks good. Question though? Who the hell shoots video in AWB? The demographics for the type of people who will purchase this camera are not going to shoot with AWB! Anyways good test none the less and at least we know that the D850 has good AWB!
Actually it shows nothing, as it not scientific.
May be WB is better is this specific situation, may be it is worse.
Yes you are right in regards to the testing. The best way to test would be to use controlled lighting, custom white balance, same lens etc etc. Still though the Nikon D850 video quality looks pretty good.
Controlled lighting.... ISO invariance test. Not that I would ever push the envelope like this but there have been a couple of times where I needed to do this to save a shot.
I also prefer the noise pattern on the Nikon in comparison to the Canon. The image seems to hold up a lot better then the Canon when the images is being pushed to the extremes.
Looks like Nokon at least did something which can be use for stills and video. 5 years later then I needed and dont have Nikkors any more but yeay :) and mirrorless is coming. Im glad that Nikon bankruptcy scenario came last year so they got a video wakeup kick at last.
