I have 2 batteries. 1 for Panasonic cga-d54s and 2x Sony nfp to power dual hyperdeck shuttle.
I am thinking of routing power from cga-d54s from camera contacts and feeding to hyperdeck.
Any solution for boosting 7.2v to 12v? Hopefully Max. Efficiency.
One off eBay is xl6009-dc-dc - not sure how good it is.
Well, if you want something DIY like it is lot of them on aliexpress.
Any reference for how good or bad they are?
I have no idea.
If you have Sony NP batteries, it is simpler to get adaptor from two of them to V mount and get Fotga power solution
Panasonic cga-d54s unfortunately. Want to get a DC tap after opening battery. And route the 7.2v for hyperdeck. Save more than 1kg in weight
Couldn't you buy a 12v battery?
Then I have 2 batteries. I want to use single battery to power both
Have a search on YT for buck converters, plenty of instructional videos.

If you're adventurous, it's worth checking the hyperdeck shuttle's circuit diagram and service technical specs, if you can get hold of them. It is quite likely the unit's interior operating voltage is not 12V at all, but something else. Look for numbers: something like" 6-15V DC", etc is sometimes specified, possibly on the other side of the power supply and could be patched into a place on the printed circuit board.
