yeah really. Settle down, people. It will have severe lacks.
@joethepro & kurth: thanks for the advice and clarification. I was thinking that the GH5 would be announced soon and perhaps available within some reasonable period of time. Since I already have the GH4 & BMPCC, with a number of the lenses, it makes more sense to just enjoy what I have and wait to see about the rumored GH5. Although the body of the 6300 is affordable, none of my lenses are compatible.
Let's just leave this non existing GH5 alone :-) He'll sit quietly in the dark corner of your imagination, and will vanish completely not leaving even a trace as you will see real GH5 and hear it's price.
@IronFilm thanks for the tip! yes, I saw some posts on that site you mentioned about the Commlite Nikon F to Sony E (w/autofocus!!!) adapter and I see that there have been a number of these for sale, and that they sell out quickly. No production during the Chinese new year means we might not see any stock for a weeks. I'll keep an eye out. Thanks!
Has there been any indication as to the minimum ISO available for slog use?

The image is beautiful, but I prefer the color and texture from panasonic gh4 and g7.
The image. the color and the texture is mighty fine. I haven't been a fan of the Sony video image quality so far but it seems that the a6300 will change my mind. After owning the Samsung NX1 and seeing what an S35 sensor reproduces I will never go back to 4/3s sensor. The GH4 and G7 are not in the same league.
@joethepro you posted one link twice :-) If you go to the directory you will find some more: http://www.gaiamount.com/user/116/videos/
@johncaballero so what will you say about the images that comes out of the blackmagic pocket cinema and the upcoming micro cinema cameras with even smaller sensors than the a6300? Of course I do prefer a bigger sensor but impliying that small sensor don't produce great image is just not correct. Especially comparing that image from the the BMMC which if you ask me has a far more superior image from a smaller sensor to the a6300.
ISO test vs... GH4?
Whoa.... ISO 12800 actually looks usable with some noise reduction in that test video. Very manageable noise in the shadows. If this is a good representation of its performance I am very impressed. 12800 there looks roughly like 4000 does on my a6000. No motion in the test though, so we cant see if they improved the ghosting that happened at high ISO on the a6000.
Now Im thinking I dont buy the GX8, keep sometime with the GX7 and now buy the A6300. Besides the A6300 is cheaper. Although I like my GX8.
Rolling shutter example. Looks to be 4k24p, which is supposed to use the full sensor width. Doesn't look toootally awful, it's also hard to tell from a video of the LCD. If the rolling shutter is better in 4k30p and 1080p modes, it'll be hard to decide between the 6300 + boosters for my lenses, and the A7rII + normal adapters...
