I only wish Nikon added more video frame rates. Fuji is finally doing it with the X30. Pentax is doing it with the QS-1. Come on Nikon!!!
Excellent still imaging performance for its relatively small sensor size.

Nikon V3's ability to shoot bursts up of photos at up to an incredible 60 frames per second -- albeit without fulltime autofocus at speeds faster than 20 fps.

The 1 V3 takes the biggest step in making the 1-series a tool for advanced photographers rather than solely for beginners by making the operational ergonomics more focused on direct control and customization.
Overall image quality from the V3 is good for a 1" sensor, but due to the size limitations it's just not going to keep up with its latest APS-C and Four Thirds rivals.
Concessions have also been made with regards to the Nikon 1 V3's image quality, with the jump in megapixels from 14 to 18 making the resulting images objectionably noisy at ISO 1600, rather than at ISO 3200 as on the V2, especially for the RAW files. 18 megapixels is a little too much for the small 1-inch sensor.
The camera, with its unique sensor technology allows extremely fast continuous shooting, at up to 60fps at full resolution! The camera also offers impressively quick continuous shooting with AF tracking, far beyond what any other camera can currently offer.

And even better comparison is with the rx100. And what's even worse is it's 720/120p mode only shoots for 3 sec. ! And this is the cinema camera revolution nikon was talkin' 'bout ?
Not much progress
We were not allowed to take any images home with us but from what we could see on the screen, there appears to be an overall improvement with regards to high ISO performance compared to the V2.
Looking at ebay and local sellers Nikon 1 bodies are good options, as they fall fastest in price. I think in time V3 will be very good option.
