Color space setting in raw is just instruction to raw processing software usually.

Color space also is not 8bit, 10bit or such.

could someone please give me some advice on which color space to use for photography? I set my camera to uncompressed RAW and Adobe RGB but Adobe RGB is just 8 bit, right? what is the best in camera setting and the best setting for photoshop and irfanview? thanks guys!

The “so what” is that this implies (and also actually is demonstrable with a simple test that anyone can do), that by exposing an image at a maximum of ISO 640 one can get comparable results by adjusting the image in Camera Raw or Lightroom after the fact as with letting the camera do it internally when shooting. This is because internally the camera is boosting the signal in the analogue domain, before the D_to_A converter, while doing so on one’s computer is working strictly in the digital domain.

Video looks better on the A7R II when it's scaled down from S-35 (about 15 mpx) to 4K than from full frame to 4K. Unfortunately it has very massive RS when in that mode. It would be rare to get aliasing from such high resolution, you can see that with the BMPC 4K vs BMPCC, but it's possible nevertheless.

So, I'd try to get my hands on both of these and compare not only resolution, but RS too. And remember that the A7S II has no 4K at all when set to S-35.

i saw few clips where a7s2 wins but a7r2 doesnt have anit aliasing filter so on paper it should be sharper. any thoughts plz?

well, you talk about video, AA filter does not matter much here (except some aliasing that can result from its absence).

@nomad thanks! now I just need to figure out focusing in video. I want AF/MF with autofocusing only when I push the shutter button half-way is that possible? so far I can only shoot with manual focus or auto focus and the auto focus does focus by itself which I don't want really love this camera only thing for me a future firmware update needs to address is a button shortcut option for the crop function

If it's an FE lens leave it on, they'll work together to achieve astonishing stabilization. But don't expect the 4.5 stops gain quoted by Sony from other lenses. With manual lenses it's more like 1-2 stops, the extreme resolution shows any motion!

expecting my A7RII today and I am EXITED got a question: when using a lense with image stabilisation: body stabilisation AND lense stabilisation turned on or just one of them and in that case: which?
