So... i am thinking, if is possible to adapt a "dummy" SD card to a HDD? For the camera the HDD appears like a regular fat32 formated card, with it could do write GOP1 220mbs all the time... sorry for my bad english, i wish someone can understand the idea :) Powering the HDD is easy.
I like this idea, but I think that it is not feasible. What of the power drive. What about data transfer protocol. SD format differs from the format of the USB or ATA
sd to ssd would be awesome. the giga of a ssd is cheaper and faster thar a sd extreme card. powering the ssd is no problem, the thing is a sd to usb extension cable or something similar.
I email the mobidapter people and this is their reply:
"Hello Andres
It is not something that has been tested and so I am afraid it would be try and see. Sorry I really can't advise any further on this but the 32GB is the hardware limit.
These are not an expensive item so might be just worth buying one to try it out!
We don't know if it'll work. Mobidapter -> usb to ssd with 5v battery adapter -> ssd the people at mobidapter say that they don't know if it will work. There is a possible 32gb limit. You could add a sd extention cable to make everything more portable. All the links for testing are here except for the ssd batery.
