NX1 Firmware version 1.10 changes:

this is all I could find
Samsung has been rather experimental with cameras, more so with standalone ones than the ones on its phones. Although the company has tried its hand at digital photography in the past, the 28 mega-pixel NX1 remains to be the first real attempt by Samsung with the photography professional in mind. The device got its first ever software update earlier today, and as you would expect, there are some improvements. You can take a look at the image below to see the entire changelog, but highlights of the update remain better autofocus in low-light situations, the addition of a custom wheel EVC (Exposure Value Compensation) in the Key Mapping menu, besides fixing many bugs. http://www.mydiyworld.net/?p=1805
If you already own NX1 and/or lot of NX lenses, send me PM.
what's the likely hood of getting a focal reducer made for the Samsung mount or does one already exist?
this maybe a loaded question but how does the image compare to the Blackmagic Cameras? I shoot with a BMPCC right now and high framerates are sorely missed right now for music video work.

It is complicated, Speed Booster authors claim that it is impossible, due to flange distance.
But this is if you want to keep all optics not sticking from back.
firmware update is done via the Samsung i-launcher software. Make sure your battery is fully charged.
OK - whatever camera settings and h.265 conversion program and settings, as well as the NX1 firmware version has the right amount of detail in the shadows IMHO. I wonder if the new firmware has anything to do with it?

Holy mother...this is how you do a proper firmware upgrade.
(if all this will work, is another story)
This means that they have some smart and sane guy heading project.
I have big hopes for NX500.
Holy crap.. Samsung's in the game, for sure.
@Vitaliy_Kiselev and probably stopped the engineers dance between products (at least some) :)
The (supposed) use of Tizen in this camera could ease this kind of development pace?

We do not know. May be help comes from TV department that have huge resources devoted to OS now.
One surprise that's not in that firmware list is an option to record in H264 as the current H265 is a little ahead of its time, as far as requiring additional post production.
Samsung is NOT PLAYING AROUND! Man have they taken a huge swing for the fences on this camera. BRAVO!
Serious update. No H.264 serious bummer. Still.....
Would it be possible for the NX1 to get a firmaware upgrade for ProRes and CinemaDNG Raw like the BM Pockect Camera did!
I've been so tempted by this camera. I just told myself "Chill out, you don't need this plus its missing a lot of things." Then they added a lot of those things. Now I'm tempted again LOL.
I would like to know what "Pro Quality" means for 1080p footage.
I need to see someone shoot in this D Gamma profile. The dynamic range of the footage was a big concern for me.
The encoders in most cameras are purely hardware-based, right? They're built to do just one thing, in one format, extremely quickly and reliably. So they wouldn't be able to "just add h264", it would be a hardware upgrade or change.
Well if they have H.264 it surely will be even more popular, currently H.265 is too ahead of time.
It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!
