Thanks for the update ! Can't wait to see how the first tests go. Really interested in the "true" 4k capabilites + H265. Real world experiments will tell us if there is this camera is the real deal.

Samsung has revealed that Joseph Gordon-Levitt, known for roles in movies like 10 Things I hate About You and The Dark Knight Rises, is set to shoot a 4K UHD film entirely on the NX1 flagship camera. The production, titled In a City, will see Gordon-Levitt travel across the world to explore the daily lives of people and capture what makes every place unique.

@Vitaliy_Kiselev I'm not sure, we shall wait and see wen the product finally ships. It think NX1 should be nominated to the "mystery product of the year". There is absolutely no real info abut it, no final price, no noting and should be in stores soon.

@brianl I don't really quite care wen it ships, because there are no concussive samples (photo or video) to make men want to preorder it. Anyway BH posted for a long time ago the mid November shipping date for NX1, so there was no mystery's about it.
Heck, IR has a version with final firmware 1.0 and aren't allowed to post high ISO picks or video samples out of it.
I have a strong feeling this camera will be a big disappointment. :(

Well. we discussed above that Samsung NR usually sucks. May be their management hope that their developers will do more in one last month than they did in last 10 years? Who knows.

Sadly Eno, you are not the spokesman for the entire forum. Lots do care about release dates and many of us preordered based on the published specs. I preordered and am looking forward to getting one. It's arguably the most exciting piece of gear on deck. So really, no need to piss on everyone's parade.

@brianl No offense but if you preorder cameras only based on specks you may have nasty surprises. I hope I'm wrong about NX 1, but all the secrecy surrounding any conclusive sample is smelling very suspicious.

There isn't much risk preordering, if the camera is dog, send it back. It's not a big deal. People order on spec all the time. It's nothing new or suprising.

Agree on it. Plus with some cameras it can be big shortages for months, if you did not preorder.
