I read somewhere that vast amount of bottled water from California is sold throughout the US, not least because there's no regulation keeping companies from drilling a hole, pumping as many water as they like from the ground, and sell it.
Sounds like a very clever thing to do. Maybe the government can buy those bottles and refill the lakes with them, increasing profits of those companies even further?
