Let's take Tiffen IR ND

82mm filter cost will be $171

Smaller 72-77mm filters are even cheaper (about $80-100)

Same filter in 4"x4" form factor will be $260 ($90 more than 82mm round filter)

If you get 82mm round filter to 4x4" converter

It'll just add $26 and for almost all lenses, even wide, 82mm is more than enough.

Here is small video on importance of IR ND (just remember that it uses extreme 128 ND filter).

Huh, It is topic about filters converter.

If you mean just round Tiffen ND filters that make various ones. IR ND are good.

For now it can be cheaper to just get holder and Skier IR ND.

Do you have a source for 4x5.6 circular polarizer ? The 3dA1 only works with large matte boxes, and there is only 1 4x4 filter holder. I want to save that for ND filters. The CPL will come in front.
