GF6 - PAL to NTSC via Firmware or other?

Is the PAL / NTFC ability built into the firmware? Could I load the NTSC firmware onto my PAL GF6? I can change the output setting but it still doesn't allow me to play videos back on a NTSC TV, just still images, is this behaviour normal?

Yes, it si normal behaviour. No public firmware for GF6 exist. And regional settings of your camera are still not in the firmware.
