@bozfx, thank you for posting that video. That is a great example of what ML RAW can do when you get the work flow right. I'm still trying to learn as much as I can about how to get the best from my Canon 50D and seeing 5Dmk3 footage like this gives me chills. The detail and color is just fabulous and on top of that very little Moire or Aliasing if any. It puts another check in the box for maybe going to buy a 5Dmk3 instead of a BMCC.

Hi. Please verify. Is it possible to capture M43 sized portion of the 5dMKII/III sensor (about 2x crop mode)? I guess, one can capture HD sized crop of the sensor continuously, and super35 sized crop for couple of seconds, but what about 2x crop, is it possible to record continuously?

The answer is mostly "no" to that. One has the option of either the standard scaled output or a 1:1 crop of the sensor. At 1:1 doing 1920x1080, the size is closer to super 16mm film or the BMPCC (around 3x crop). One can push that out to 2.5k, but not at 16:9 (more like 2.35:1), but that's still not quite as wide as super 35mm.

@blackspot I'm not sure. Probably not continuous, but you'd get at least a few seconds, most likely.

Thanks Mike, yes I wrote it and I used it everyday, works great here. It converts RAW to video RAW so the advantages are still there (immediate grading with LUTs, huge bit depth, etc) while file size is 1/10th on average., with real-time playback and edit. Automatic audio merge. Saves time and storage. many more custom options, as well - check it out, guys!
