I was wondering what those asterisks meant, so I looked it up on their website:
http://www.pny.eu/product/p-5-212-665/SD-High-Performance/SDXC-High-Performance-128GB/
— Read speed up to 80MB/s, Write speed up to 40MB/s.
And for their Elite Performance models:
http://www.pny.eu/product/p-5-214-670/SD-Elite-Performance/SDXC-Elite-Performance-64GB/
— Read speed up to 100MB/s, Write speed up to 65MB/s
I purchased one of these cards from B&H the other day for my GH2. I'm running the moon t7 patch and recording fails after about 6-8 seconds in 24p if I push it really hard (low light with high ISO usually does the trick). Speed tests put the write speed at ~45-50MB/s, so I'm not sure if I just have a dud or what...
I really hope that's the case, because we really need some reasonably-priced, high-capacity cards like these.
@tormaid I'm getting the same thing with both the 80 and 90 mb cards. The 90 will actually span in Sanity X unless you get a little too much activity, which is most of the time. I'll pass on any more of the cards.
Not about the PNY card, but rather the 64GB 80M Sandisk Extreme... I did a real world test copying one 4.66GB file from the card to my hard drive. It took 58 sec, which works out to 80.3 MB/sec. Impressive!
