Since my first film is complete, I want to try out options for a 3D rig. The human eye can extract more resolution from 2x frames in 3-D than a single 2D frame. Hence CCD cameras with interpolated pixels should theoretically work. My options are
a. 2x HDC-SD9 uncompressed HDMI 4:2:2
b. JVC GY-HM100 uncompressed HDMI 4:2:2
and
a. Linovision HDC-VEC876PF http://linovision.en.alibaba.com/product/529618464-213194157/Wholesale_Full_HD_1080P_2_3_2_0_Megapixel_KODAK_CCD_HD_SDI_camera_HDC_VEC876PF.html
b. Tauri - HD 02150 SDI http://www.kappa.de/en/camfinder/Tauri-HD_02150_SDI_Color%20%20.html?p=1
I think the Linovision is the same as this one - for its specs. http://www.worldeyecam.com/store/imax-hdsdi-hf3211p-2-3-2.0-megapixel-kodak-ccd-full-hd-box-camera.html or this one http://icrealtime.com/solutions/pdshowg.asp?pdid=HDSDICAMERA
Yep, very interesting thing. Keep us updated.
Looks like the Kappa can do 4:2:2 10-bit output which would be pretty perfect for Prores or DNxHD on the Hyperdeck. I'm really interested in this too since I have a Hyperdeck Shuttle just sitting around. I wouldn't use it for 3D, but a tiny 2D setup with global shutter (I assume it has global since it's CCD) would be pretty great. I'm excited to hear how things turn out!

I finally got a reply. The Aja Gen10 works for syncing the cameras. http://www.aja.com/en/products/mini-converters/gen10/
