Amazing. Sigma has been on a ROLL lately. The 35mm f1.4 has been killing it in the reviews, many saying its much better than the zeiss 35mm f1.4

The 35mm is by far the sharpest / has the most resolving power. Is it the nicest 35? No (IMO) but what Sigma have done is amazing, quite simply. Great price point too. (for the 35)

Very interesting. This could be a very nice lens for Blackmagic EF mount cameras. Hope there is pricing and availability soon.

Sure it could minus the aperture control of course. Should function like any other modern Nikon or Canon lens. Adapters with crude aperture control may help a bit

I can easily see this lens being the best friend to many working professionals and a lot of enthusiasts, too. It could, without hesitation, be the go-to lens for portrait and wedding photographers across the globe. The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 is a rock star, no doubt!

The key to understanding the Sigma 18-35mm F1.8 is to realize that it gives the same control over depth-of-field as a 28-50mm F2.8 would on a full-frame camera - it also allows you to shoot at wider apertures in any given situation, effectively cancelling out the greater low-light ability that a larger sensor would otherwise give. And, especially if you own a high-end APS-C camera, that can help to reduce some of the motivation for moving to full-frame.
