  • Interesting. :-)

  • Meh! I'd have to see some kind of proof that it is enough to actually work against the sensitivity of high end thermal sensors. Not saying it won't work but who knows just how sensitive a drone's sensors are and how effective they are at picking up even the traces of as heat signature.

"The Predator's infrared camera with digitally-enhanced zoom has the capability of identifying the heat signature of a human body from an altitude of 3 km (10,000 ft), making the aircraft an ideal search and rescue tool. Either the daylight variable aperture or the infrared electro-optical sensor may be operated simultaneously with the synthetic aperture radar, if equipped."

I just wonder if that stealth gear can mask enough.

  • The US military has had thermal retardant uniforms for years. They actually made the troops stop starching the shit out of the uniforms because apparently that makes them useless! Thanks alot drill sergeants. I don't know how many wasted hours I spent starching the crap out of uniforms for inspection.

  • Btw, contrary to this uniform, that is pure fun

is much more useful in real life.
