Setting for B&W shooting. Is there a chance to improve existing settings?

Hello. I was wondering if you (masters of Ptools) can design a setting for B&W shooting. The goal could be to improve the detail and the Dynamic Range for example. Is it worth?, Could be a real improve from existing ones?. Many many thanks to Nick, Vitaly and others developers. Pardom my english.
