    given the current exchange rate, the sony fs700 is priced $5800 at this tokyo shop. if anyone in the US has recently purchased from merchants in japan please post your experience with specifics of related import/export fees, taxes and shipping costs (and carrier).

    I think it is best to ask help from some of our japanese members.

    One thing I know for certain - you could have trouble shipping it with battery. :-)

    I doubt that shipping rates will be an issue for such things :-)
