With full 4K output to HDMI also, of course.
It is 4 core Cortex A7 based CPU, 8 core GPU, and special hardware video decoder.

Onda V972
Retina + AllWinner A13, release date set to be in December.
Btw, USB on this tablets will be USB 3.0 :-)
Link to Onda site - http://www.onda.cn/topics/sohu/index.html
Even though Onda has cut some corners to keep the price low (e.g. no Bluetooth) this is an interesting product. For 240$ you would get the Power VR GPU with twice of performance of Tegra 3 and similar performance of the GPU in the new iPAD.
Are you sure that it won't have Bluetooth?
About perfomance - it won't be absolutely top, as A7 is battery time oriented CPU, slower than A9, and much slower than new A15.
@Vitaliy_Kiselev According to this page http://www._______.com/onda-v972-quad-core-9-7-inch-retina-screen-daul-camera-android-tablet-pc.html in their response to the questions: "Onda V972 Do not build in GPS and Bluetooth." I agree that the V972 CPU performance will be much slower than the new iPAD and Google Nexus 10.
This is not a good site, and it has zero relation to Onda.
@Vitaliy_Kiselev Thanks, I had no idea about the site. Anyhow, I care less would it have the bluetooth or GPS, considering that the tablet has a good screen, graphic card, WiFi and USB3.
Bluetooth without Bluetooth wireless audio profile [Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP)] support cannot play on Bluetooth speakers, it is good for keyboard & mice only. Ampe A10 quad seems to be not supporting A2DP.
Now your message is related to this topic?
I dont understand chinese but it seems that it has got Jelly Bean 4.1. That is great.
My bad. My point is even this new tablet will come with bluetooth, I doubt it will support A2DP ... like other Chinese made tablets. But I think I will order one of this when it is available.
According to good sources it'll have Bluetooth.

It all depends on firmware authors usually.
Freescale quad core tablets have great potential, but due to their small amount firmware is really not good today. lack many things.

Sorry for OT. Any recommendation for 7" 720p Chinese tablet? or Nexus7 is better (not cheap)?
edited: found these.. any good? http://www.ainol-novo.com/buy-products.html
Brian Klug talked about the A31 in Anandtech: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6604/more-details-on-allwinners-a31-quad-core-a7-soc
And I saw (in Engadget or The Verge, don't remember) that Polaroid launched 2 tablets, one 7'' dual-core and one 10'' with the A31 - and the A31 performed worst than the dual core version.
I think that the A31 tablets will have great battery life, but not good performance - especially with a Retina display. I have the first version of the newest iPad and it struggles to cope with the screen sometimes - hence the new version was launched.
but not good performance - especially with a Retina display. I have the first version of the newest iPad and it struggles to cope with the screen sometimes - hence the new version was launched.
Initial iPad with Retina had been heavily underspecced, especially in graphic department.
As for "performed worst" is is mostly bullshit, as all this benchmarks only measure 3D games and similar scenarios. In real practical use A7 had very good potential, and A31 is specially made to cope with high res screens.
@Vitaliy_Kiselev I'm not talking about benchmarks, it's about real use.
The A31 have amazing specs for HDMI-output video (4K in 30 fps), and I truly believe it - the A10 could run "2160p" without breaking a sweat. But I have my doubts in system display rendering - which is made by the GPU.
I totally agree with you that the first iPad Retina was underspecced - and it have a SGX543MP4 (4-core) GPU. The A31 have a newer GPU version (SGX544) but only dual-core - and I doubt that the 544 have doubled the 543's performance. The impact is not only in games and 3d apps.
But the biggest problem is the poor optimized firmwares made from the chinese manufacturers. I have a PipoU1 (RK3066, dual core A9, quad-core Mali400 GPU, 1280x800 IPS screen), and I love the little beast for my primary purpose - see video while commuting to work. But the performance of Jelly Bean in the tablet is way underoptimized - much less fluid than, say, ICS in a Galaxy SII, a phone with much less processor power than this tablet. And the firmware have a lot of little glitches never ironed out by the manufacturer - and will never will, the last firmware update was in november, and since a new model already came out (U1Pro), probably will never have another update. And the tablet was not supported by Cyanogenmod.
For some uses (like mine), chinese tablets have a very good price-performance ratio. But for others - and especially for people that want rock solid stability and performance - they are not.
It is simple, just sell U1 locally and get U1 Pro :-)
On such speed this companies just don't have resources for firmware optimization.
My onda v812 is on the way. This model without retina display, just 8" 1024x768 ips, but other specs are the same - Allwiner A31,2gb, 4k, Wifi direct, etc. Hope it wil connect with gh3.
Main plus - it will be smaller. But big retina screens advantage is color accuracy, even Chinese ones are quite good.
Looking at alternatives, A31 seems like ideal video tablet. It has best decoder, and smallest consumption.
I have got it. V812 playing 4k demo video without any problem. Now will try HDMI out, and after will try to play my own 4k files, just need to convert it from R3D.
Bought the Tablet but when on the google play page of lumix link it says not compatible with device???
