Ouch! For those photographers here who use the excellent Nik software suite of plugins I have a sinking feeling in my stomach about this acquisition. :>(

They are buying many firms.
It is common thing, they got money from bank credits and advertising business mostly, so can offer to hard working guys such money they can't get in lifetime.

Its sad. Google doesn't care one bit on the NIK customers. They just need Snapseed for some Android app. I doubt focus will continue on updating Color Efex Pro, Silver Efex and HDR Efex. Those plug-ins will remain on life support.
