Technical discussion of the DNG files made by Blackmagic Cinema Camera
  • I'd love to get going with a grade in Resolve but everytime I try to track or do anything else ambitious I am crashing out with a CUDA error. I got an x79 system with a GT640 card so I think I am in spec.

Seeing as I can't play with the image I have decided to have a look at the bits. Attached is a dump from Exiftool/RawDigger and an image showing the data before demosaicing.

I've only just started reading about RAW and the DNG format and I guess it seems obvious but RAW is not a standard anything which is why Adobe had to make DNG. Still this DNG does not look the same as the DNG I get from a RW2 converted so maybe DNG will have just as much variance as the Raw files they contain.

    RawDigger available here http://www.rawdigger.com/

    Please post your findings.
