    You can buy a converter plate on amazon that fits both the standard 717 plate and adjusts to load a arca-swiss. It is well made and only 15 (plus you get an extra 717 plate). I have 2.

    Oops forgot to mention downside; there is no catch button, if you loosen it you don't have a failsafe.
