Panasonic GF Series Shutter Clicking Sound hackable?

    With Panasonic GF Series cameras, the shutter clicking sound is too loud, specially for the street photography...

    I believe it's a digital sound added to mimic the DSLR's.

    Is there anyway you could lower it or perhaps switch it off?

    it is a mechanical shutter

    Yeah, only ones with global shutter are Nikon J1 and V1 (hybrid). All other mirrorless just have mechanical shutter. I don't know if Olympus MFT is quieter.
