What do we know about the novel coronavirus?

Nice new world we will live in.

  • The American Society of Anesthesiologists issued guidance on Feb. 23 discouraging CPAP use in COVID-19 patients — advice largely informed by experience with the SARS epidemic in 2003. Studies dating to 2003 suggest that such devices can pump viruses into the air, potentially increasing the spread of a contagious disease.

This looks like major crime made under pretence of expert advice. As they want to use SARS (14% to 15% fatality) easy to contain virus as baseline.

  • @Jleo....I see you haven't responded to your other fake news but let's look at that czech article for it's authenticity. I'm personally divided 50/50 whether americans or chinese created corona, but this article , possibly due to translation ( I always consider ) is completely speculatory with nothing offered as possibly true except her opinion on the viruses complex structure...which doesn't tell us anything about it's origin. The american military has motive for denying corona is manmade to protect it's own bio(defense haha) programs so that denial isn't proof enough. The reason that I still lean towards an accidental release is the chaos. Military planners would have gamed this outcome and shutdown any intentional attack, imho. But while I'm still waiting for something to tilt me off the 50/50 fulcrum, this isn't it.

  • Mordor news

Goverment hopes to make universal smartphone apps used for QR code indentification (as restriction now act in most big cities).

Without smartphone and apps you won't be able to even go to nearest food store.

Each movement, even dog walk, will be approved on central goverment level and given one time QR code.

One time fine for going without code will be around 1/8 of average monthly wage, for any extra issues - 1/7 of average monthly wage. People who won't obide will go to jail up to 7 years.

  • On masks

We now know that falsified statements made by medics and science guys on how masks are inefficient and not needed had been caused by direct goverment requests (reason given - they had been afraid that people will buy masks and they won't get them for hospitals, it is full bullshit, of course).

It is same around EU and US.

  • @Vitaliy...there's a grain of truth to that deception. Many health workers in the USa are working in corona hazardous environments with shit for protection. And as we saw with the Dr david price video...the overwhelming form of contagion is touching. He said for aerosol contagion to happen someone would have to be in close quarters for a length of time....like for example, healthcare workers. The real crime was to be so lazy as to think nothing would ever happen i.e. normalcy bias, and that we'd never have the overwhelming need for masks. I put that on trumpster. He's one normalcy biased fool. And of course, the chinese are more accustomed to use masks for everyday pollution survival needs, so they always had a stock on hand.

  • @kurth

They not only had stock, but they had actual manufacturing, Japan also.

Efficient US and EU managers and big business did not care about medical workers, they care to cover their asses as ti is them who made decision to buy masks in China and who stood behind most local manufacturing destruction.

Same is true for ventilators, as thus guys now lead deception compain where instead of simple small electrical units they propose big expensive things that require special infrastructure and servicing (O2 and other compressed baloons, and you can't ramp it up at all!) They are very popular as companies are able to feed more money back to clerks who amde decision.

Issue is that modern average clerk do not want to get into depth of the question and even do not have such capability as it seems. So they just fake activity.

May be later this moment of time will be called "peak of shit management".

  • US Health care systems have warned emergency room doctors and nurses that if they speak out about working conditions inside a hospital, they will be fired.

Ruling class is not hapy if you tell the truth. But real truth is that it is required so it'll fall.

It doesn't fit the reality it's a small business at most hundreds of millions it's nothing compared to 2 trillions. I see It 2 ways either they can't do it or they want as much dead as it can be.

  • @Vitaliy....please add a link for that. One doctor was fired, and he threatened to sue the crap out of the hosp., and they backed down, denying he was terminated. Of course work place whistleblowers have always been threatened with dismisal, but US labor law does defend them, at least according to the law. An amazon employee was also dismissed for organizing a anti-amazon protest. He will take some of bezos's not so hardearned cash.

  • It can be the bureaucracy combined with ather things but it doesn't fit.

  • With interest rates for the United States being at ZERO, this is the time to do our decades long awaited Infrastructure Bill. It should be VERY BIG & BOLD, Two Trillion Dollars, and be focused solely on jobs and rebuilding the once great infrastructure of our Country!

And this is why, officially, you need turning cities slowly into concentration camps. US is just late.

But I do not think it is possible, no resources and energy.

Once everyone is scared, they will surrender all their freedoms without even questioning it.

  • @Sph1nxster

Goverments and ruling class won't give up this new powers.

As all of them are making workers cheaper and much more easy to deal with. Separated and under tracking.

  • Important things to remember

All major clerks, goverment people, scientists and expers are not doing and telling objective and scientific truth.

They serve ruling class, so each sentence and each action follow its guidance.

They use top level methods of big masses manipulation.

  • Blitzkrieg

    (German: “lightning war”)

Military tactic calculated to create psychological shock and resultant disorganization in enemy forces through the employment of surprise, speed, and superiority in matériel or firepower.

    From https://www.britannica.com/topic/blitzkrieg

Now we are observing exactly surprise, speed, and superiority in matériel or firepower and everyone can see around psychological shock and resultant disorganization in working class forces.

  • On vaccine

The need to rapidly develop a vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 comes at a time of explosion in basic scientific understanding, including in areas such as genomics and structural biology, that is supporting a new era in vaccine development. Over the past decade, the scientific community and the vaccine industry have been asked to respond urgently to epidemics of H1N1 influenza, Ebola, Zika, and now SARS-CoV-2. An H1N1 influenza vaccine was developed relatively rapidly, largely because influenza-vaccine technology was well developed and key regulators had previously decided that vaccines made using egg- and cell-based platforms could be licensed under the rules used for a strain change. Although a monovalent H1N1 vaccine was not available before the pandemic peaked in the Northern Hemisphere, it was available soon afterward as a stand-alone vaccine and was ultimately incorporated into commercially available seasonal influenza vaccines.

Vaccines for the severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS), Ebola, and Zika did not follow a similar path. The SARS and Zika epidemics ended before vaccine development was complete, and federal funding agencies reallocated funds that had been committed to vaccine development, leaving manufacturers with financial losses and setting back other vaccine-development programs.

Interesting read, criminals telling you about their crimes as it is best thing you can do with society.

  • just check local news in Canada and US : buildings closed, boarded up, including entire universities and residential buildings closed down, even transportation hubs, buses and subways are having restricted movement...long social distancing lines, no visitors allowed in residential apts, seniors homes, repairs and services in residential buildings suspended, etc. Probably more news in coming weeks. What happened to those crematoriums in Wuhan? :) People will believe anything bad about China without any proof!

“The U.S. is not China, and our people would not tolerate the kind of social control and intrusive surveillance that we saw in China,” said Lawrence Gostin, who directs the O’Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at Georgetown University and the World Health Organization’s Collaborating Center on National and Global Health Law. He called such a plan on American soil “both legally flawed and unethical.”

Gostin added that he believed a mass quarantine wouldn’t even be constitutional in the United States. But he said he could envision the U.S. limiting movement in or out of, say, large apartments or dormitories.

  • Historical documentary about 1918 Swine Flu or Spanish Flu and the role of World War I in spreading the disease among troops making it into a worldwide plague of devastating proportions. The video covers where it began, how and where it spread, the symptoms, how it affected America and whether it could happen again.

  • It's easy to modify a vacuum cleaner factory to make ventilators.

  • @jleo

Even simpler it is for CPAP and similar devices manufacturers, as difference is small.

Masks are different and you need to add some logic and filters.

Issue is that ventilators niche is highly guarded as I understand, manufacturers are almost one with certification authorities as it allows to keep prices high and not allow any innovations and making them compact and simple.

  • @MikeLinn...there's only one video for 3 seconds in the middle, the rest are photos.
