AMD X570, B550, A520 chipsets and motherboards on them

  • AMD and its criminal activities

German publication Planet 3D Now reportedly got its hands on the 1103 beta BIOS, (which contains the 1.0.0.4b AGESA), for the Asus Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi) motherboard and mated it with a rather unlikely partner: an AMD Ryzen 3 1200. This combination isn’t supposed to work, but apparently it booted up just fine and they even managed to validate the setup in CPU-Z. The publication noted that they also tried this combination on an older BIOS without success.

Text here is made to undermine the criminal actions of AMD who INTENTIONALLY disabled Rizen 1st gen support without any reason.

In reality 6-8 core overclocked Ryzen 1st gen is only 15-18% slower compared to Zen 2 alternative in most real work tasks (slightly more in games) and around 2-3x times cheaper.

Never assume that capitalist corporation do something at random, they never do this.

  • B550 chipset coming soon, first OEM systems will be available in early October.

    • PCIe 4.0 support only for M.2 slot and top PCIe x16 slot, as both go directly to CPU
    • Can be some minor USB improvements like 2xUSB 3.2 Gen2 ports
    • All else same as B360 and B450
    • Even 4x PCIe 3.0 chipset-CPU link, this is horrible
    • Overclocking features will be specially limited!
    • Of course, price hike
    • Made by ASmedia, no coolers on chipset
  • X590 revival signs

At least two models have been confirmed internally to ASUS employees. The PRIME X590-PRO and ROG STRIX X590-E are being mentioned in confidential documents that we have seen.

  • Asrock X570 VRM on Pro4 / Phantom Gaming 4

  • One fund things is that ASUS disclosed that most major X570 boards (besides top models) are 4 layers cheap things.

  • Considering price of heatsink on top Gigabyte motherboards

As someone tells you that it is expensive - it is full lie.

    image

Such 6 pipes cooler radiator wholesale cost is below $10, around $8 in big volume.

Gigabyte most expensive board cooler uses one heatpipe (but it is twice as long totally as go to chipset) and being generous I will tell that around 1/2 of fins. Hence volume cost will be around $5 at best, closer to $3 if put on more boards.

Even more - making proper universal finned heatsinks for VRM using 2 heatpipes and lot of fins is CHEAPER than making horrible low surface CNC alu heatsinks they install on most boards.

So, here we just have lot of useless people who need something to show how useful they are, it is designers and engineers. Instead boards must use 1-2 universal solutions and this people most find another jobs.
