too bad the samsung nx cameras don't have mic inputs (aside from the nx1), they make some pink ones

NX300 and lower has active hot shoe, and they made special mike.

Missed opportunity to make the cable pink too

The cable is removeable - so you can supply your own pink cable. But, yes, they would surely get more sales with an appropriate cable. This may create a demand for pink cables, and an opportunity...
