It would have been even more "beautiful" if it had been shot with a better camera - one with much better resolution. Pretentious music, hackneyed scenes that always bring a smile, a simulated "film" LUT, and especially lots of out of focus areas are the standard techniques to make you think you are watching something artsy and professional, so, ergo, the camera is high quality, when in fact these are all to distract you from seeing how bad the IQ is. Oh, and use lenses with special qualities too, as if these could not be used on other cameras.

Well, to be fair, the list of cameras which can record in high quality from 16mm lenses is pretty short.

However, the commentary on it is also coming from a guy who thinks that using a medium format lens with a speed booster gives some magical "medium format" look to your 35mm full frame camera (along with some hokey pseudo-scientific explanation).

Looks good to me except for the RS... which make it very much unlike the global shutter of the digital bolex CMOS sensor - one of the bolex's best features - motion cadence.

Kinotika's been blasting out the M50 videos lately. Dave seems pretty into the camera for now. Interesting thing is he snagged an EOS-M Speedbooster with electrical contacts off eBay. He said it was a frankenstein'd adapter made from another one I'm thinking maybe a Viltrox EF-M2 adapter for M4/3? With the speedbooster it knocks the insane 4K crop all the way down to ~2x (1.61 x 1.7 x 0.71 = 1.94)! It's a 4K shooting M4/3 mirrorless camera from Canon! For 1080P video though it does give a pretty good FOV.
