Cool offer!
What about taking 2 of those and try to build diy VR180 cam? Would such project be realistic?
3D print a rig for two cameras would be trivial.
However workflow (resolve preferably) is questionable. Synchronisation? Adjust center? etc.

For the amount of effort and headache (and money), you would probably be better off just buying a Gear 360 or (for a little more money) a Yi 360 VR camera.

Naively for underwater VR180: 2xcam+2xwaterprrof case is less than USD 200.
