Beginner drones for kids, help me select one

Hi guys, My nephew is turning 8 years next month. High on his wishlist is a drones as he's very fascinated with them. I am looking for advice as to what to buy that will be suitable for him to start and also where online has some good prices. I prefer something that doesn't use a phone for controlling. I prefer something under $100. Thanks

Hmmm, I am gonna have to consider this one, thanks. I like the price!! It weight looks to be small enough so that I don't have to register it with FAA. I wish it had propeller guards though like these two that I am looking at
